Martine McCutcheon

A brief profile

Martine is my favourite actor of all-time, with the possible exception of a professional actor in the Scottish Socialist Party called Julie, and also very sexy! [A recent poll of EastEnders viewers agreed with me that she is the sexiest woman ever to have appeared in that soap.] She played the role of Tiffany, a barmaid at the Queen Vic.

After leaving EastEnders, she took up singing and went to Number One in the pop charts with Perfect Moment. She also had hits with I’ve Got You and Talking in Your Sleep – also from her great You, Me & Us album. However, Martine’s second album Wishing was much less successful (although I think On the Radio, I’m Over You and Love Me were hits). She co-wrote some of the songs on her pop albums, but I don’t think any of those were singles.

Martine wrote an autobiography, entitled Who Does She Think She Is? Unlike most autobiographies, it is actually a riveting read!

Martine went on to perform the lead female role (Eliza Dolittle) in the musical My Fair Lady. She was continually beset by illness, so she only just took part in enough performances to qualify for a Laurence Olivier award, which she won.

After that, Martine took up singing songs from different musicals. She sang some songs in an ITV programme simply entitled Martine, some of which were duets with other famous people (including Vinnie Jones!) and recorded the brilliant Musicality CD consisting of such songs. An indication that Martine is left-wing is that one of the songs she chose is from the revolutionary musical Les Miserables – she chose the uplifting I Dreamed a Dream.

Martine then went on to play the role of the lover of the British Prime Minister, played by Hugh Grant, in the wonderful romantic comedy film Love, Actually.

She has had some further TV roles, including in the BBC drama about MI5, Spooks, and as the lead in the ITV drama An English Harem.

Martine was one of the judges on the ITV programme Soapstar Superstar in 2007 and has a new album due out this year.

Martine McCutcheon discussion forums on the internet

I have set up some Martine bulletin boards at the web-based forum of my Revolutionary Platform Network.

I am a member of a number of Martine discussion groups (accessible via email and/or the web) at groups.yahoo.com including martine-mccutcheon, Sexy-Martine and The_sexy_martine_mccutcheon.

Why I know that Martine has an important role to play in the world

On the first page of Martine’s autobiography, she reveals that she was born ten years to the day after me (on the 14th of May 1976) and that a beam of sunlight landed on her when her umbilical cord was cut (on an otherwise very dull day, which her mother saw as a sign that she was special. Spooky or what?

However, that could just be put down to coincidence, if it was not for the fact that I already knew that Martine has an important role to play, due to an incident that occurred to me as a political prisoner (due to the leading role I also have to play in that revolution) on a psychiatric ward in Withington Hospital in Manchester – which I was born in (in 1966) and was eventually closed down by New Labour after a long struggle in which the revolutionary socialist organisation I was then a member of (the Socialist Party) played a big role. [See my page on Disability & Mental Health for more information about my periods of time as a political prisoner, including my present incarceration in ward 1 of Leverndale Hospital in Glasgow.]

As I point out in my document How our brains help or hinder the struggle for socialism, there is a continuous struggle between GOOD and BAD forces in society, reflected in people, other mammals and birds, organisations and everything that goes on in the world. Everything important has been modelled by GOOD and BAD conspiratorial organisations, in people’s brains and on computers, with the intention of creating a better world (which in my view should be socialist and based on proportional representation by single transferable vote) or a worse world (which in my view would probably lead to extinction of life on this planet via a nuclear war). My language SDML is arguably the best artificial intelligence language for that purpose (but I need to do some more work on it to make it suitable for large-scale problems). In January 2007, I set up my own semi-open conspiratorial infiltrating organisation, mainly operating in cyberspace, called the Foundation for PR-based Socialism. It does not yet do any such modelling, but it undoubtedly interacts with some others which do and it may do some modelling itself in the future; I will do more work on SDML (probably by getting a job at the Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute in Edinburgh) to aid in that task.

The following is a theory I have held about my time in Withington Hospital. I am unsure at the moment of how accurate this interpretation of what went on is: Before and after that time in Withington Hospital, there were many possible things that I could say or do, all combinations of which were being modelled. However, for a short period of time, the world had resolved itself into such a situation whereby there was only one thing I could do – walk down a corridor and bump my head gently against a wall! I think I got some insight into how teleportation is possible during this period of time – I cannot remember the details, and I’m sure that forgetting those details was important, but it is something to do with different conceptions of time by different people.

While still in this state, I had a bath and put some shampoo in my hair which I judged had at least one bad ingredient listed on the bottle (I thought, rightly or wrongly, that I had solely consumed food and drink that had been good for me in the previous period – all food and drink except for pure water probably has drugs in it, to help or hinder minds thinking clearly). After putting it in my hair, my mind whirred for a short period of time, and then Martine’s name popped out!

This was clearly an indication that Martine is either a very GOOD or a very BAD person in the world, or maybe a very GOOD or very BAD robot. Having found out quite a lot about her, watched her TV and film performances and listened to her music (and sung some of it on karaoke), I am of the opinion that she is almost certainly very GOOD. As I explain below, this conundrum has already played a tremendous role in overcoming the forces of big business.

How writing about Martine destroyed seriously BAD conspiratorial organisations!

At about 2pm on the 6th of March 2007, I finished writing version 5 of my document “How our brains help or hinder the struggle for socialism” (of which version 7 is the latest).

I pointed out that I had identified a number of GOOD people (then 7 but now 12, plus myself, listed in version 6 of the document) who I think have such high intelligence and knowledge of how the world works that having sex with somebody else (who may appear 100% genuine up to that point but may really be BAD) could put the world at risk, bearing in mind the fact that having sex transmits more information about the two partners to each other than any other activity. These people therefore are incapable of having full sex, and I pointed out that I have not discharged any sperm for a period of about eight years (which would therefore allow me to fully participate in sexual activity without any danger of threatening the future of the world in the joys of passion). A woman would only realise she was in a similar situation if she consulted a doctor due to fertility problems.

I pointed out that Martine has reportedly had a miscarriage, which I suggested could mean that she is the most BAD person on the planet (or maybe the most BAD woman)! If I could convert her after the revolution, maybe everybody else could be saved as well. If I failed to convert her or if she is GOOD, there would remain some EVIL people on the planet who could not be converted come what may, and who may have to be destroyed with the Earth (or perhaps marooned there) when the rest of us go into outer space to join aliens and perhaps other humans (maybe even including those GOOD people who have died with outer space being synonymous with heaven).

This was a bit of divide-and-rule by myself, to divide BAD people who think Martine has had a miscarriage and that therefore they could survive, with those people stopping opposing my attempts to achieve socialism, from those BAD people who think that she didn’t have a miscarriage and consider that their battle against socialism is a battle for survival. It didn’t simply split the conspiratorial organisations in two but split them asunder in a way they hadn’t been prepared for, forcing them to reconstruct conspiratorial organisations from scratch, making do without a detailed computer model of the world. Conspiracies by BAD people have not gone away completely, but they are a shadow of their former selves and should be easy to defeat.

One possibility is that Martine is actually very GOOD, but that she is a robot. Interacting with her would teach robots about what it is to be human, and enable some of them to play a role in the galaxy when we finally join an advanced socialist society up there. I think all humans are capable of becoming GOOD and that it is only EVIL robots who would remain on the Earth. I would have no qualms about encouraging the galactic society to destroy the Earth with the EVIL robots on it if that is the case.

My grandmother raised an interesting possibility – that I am actually a robot. Following that possibility rationally, you could conclude that my 12 allies are also robots and that giving ordinary humans (perhaps excluding Martine) the power to decide on the future of the world would be too risky. I could be the equivalent of the R Daneel Olivaw character in Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series, a humaniform robot who controls the galaxy behind the scenes. Martine could in that case be the human with the power to decide what sort of society we want, the equivalent of Golan Trevize in that series. A summary of the series is provided on the history page of the Galaxia/Red Day website. I really think that I am the Golan Trevize character instead...

An easier period commences in the struggle for socialism

The remaining months (and it may well be months rather than years) of the world socialist revolution will be much easier than previous decades, and I will finally be able to be ruled by my heart rather than my head, which has previously been a big influence. I can choose to have relationships with anybody I truly love, and they will be able to consider them with me, free of the constraint of it being positive or negative for the future of the world. The person I am currently most in love with in the world is Cath Bann. I fell for her (not just due to her looks and wonderful personality) but due to her political role as my greatest collaborator through the difficult times after I left the Socialist Party and during spells as a political prisoner. I suspect that Cath finally turned me down in 2003, and left with her partner Nathan to go to Cornwall, because she didn’t think it a good thing for the revolution to be led by two English people (although I am part-Welsh, part-Cornish and part-Jewish, as well as having a great grandfather born in Scotland). Constraints such as this do not matter at all now; I am in love with her and I think she is in love with me. I have to be prepared for her turning me down again, of course, but I hope this does not happen...

My philosophy will be (as it already has been to some extent) to enjoy the struggle. Knowing that it cannot fail is a big weight off my mind, and it should be much more fun than it has been during much harder times. There is still a lot to do, and many challenges ahead, before a socialist revolution occurs in a single country never mind everywhere in the world.

A major part of the struggle will be played by my revolutionary socialist band Galaxia/Red Day. We will only really be able to get started, however, when I am discharged or have a lot of leave from Leverndale Hospital where I am currently incarcerated as a political prisoner. I have a tribunal on Tuesday the 24th of April, which I am confident of winning.

The next particularly important event is the Scottish parliamentary election. During this election campaign, I want my conspiratorial semi-open organisation, the Foundation for PR-based Socialism, to play a key role. Hopefully there will be a majority for independence and a good socialist vote in the elections on Thursday the 3rd of May. This could be the launchpad for socialism in Scotland, which would be likely to rapidly spread across the rest of the world.

Martine’s role in the future

I am keeping the invitation open to Martine to join my band, although it is likely that she will wait until we have had a fair amount of success before she wants to get involved. She may wait until after the world socialist revolution, but I hope she will play a role in the band before then to help us achieve socialism.

After the world socialist revolution, it will be vital to inform people about the conspiracies that enabled it to take place, probably mainly via a TV series. Since Martine is a great actor, I would like her to play a key role in it alongside myself. I had thought that a dramatisation, perhaps partly a musical, of the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov, would be the best way to explain how the revolution happened due to the parallels between that series and the struggle for socialism on the Earth. However, I am not so convinced of that now, and think that it would be better to perform a mainly factual dramatisation of the revolution on the Earth itself, to a certain extent based on my on-line book Revolution Destroyed? Have I ensured that a world socialist revolution will never happen?

A major role of mine in the future socialist society will be to influence Martine, with the aim of making her very GOOD. If she is a robot, it will be to teach robots how to be humane enough to join humans in an advanced socialist society in outer space. Whether this influence extends to a romantic relationship remains to be seen...
