Steve Wallis’ musical poem:
Whatever Happened To The Conspiracies?
Inspired by No More Heroes – The Stranglers
Written by Steve Wallis, 14/3/2007
Dedicated to Martine McCutcheon
Are there robots impersonating
People, maybe even capable of mating?
Robot-human hybrids are impossible
A miscarriage would be inevitable
Maybe that’s what happened to Martine
Perhaps she’s the nicest robot the world has ever seen!
Despite thinking she is a robot, I’ve fallen for her
Her name once popped out of my mind after it went in a whirr!
I thought she was either very good or very bad
Her miscarriage I thought was very sad
Or maybe the report of it was made up to cause confusion
And cut across big business forces’ collusion!
When I wrote
“How our brains help or hinder the struggle for socialism”
I split asunder the serious conspiratorial forces of capitalism!
Whatever happened to the conspiracies?
I thought: No more conspiracies any more!
No more conspiracies any more!
Will there be another 9/11 or Lady Di?
Will there be another great lie?
They have no longer got a complete model
So the revolution will be more of a doddle!
They have regrouped but are now weak
And the world could soon be inherited by the meek!
I will soon record this poem. You will then be able to download it free of charge from this website.
