Steve Wallis’ musical poem:
The Master Race
Inspired by Girl With Blue Eyes – Katrina & the Waves, The Surveillance State – Galaxia/Red Day, Chocolate Girl – Deacon Blue, The Day the Nazi Died – Chumbawamba and Belly Of The Beast – Galaxia/Red Day
Written by Steve Wallis, 12/6/2007
Dedicated to Martina and Priya Reddy (warcry) of War Cry Cinema
[Note that Martina is a pseudonym, because I am unsure whether she would be happy with me revealing her true identity (partly because of the danger she may face if fascists read these lyrics), not having had the opportunity to speak to her since writing the poem.]
Girl with blue eyes
Girl with blue eyes
I fancy her
Girl with blonde hair
Girl with blonde hair
Her hair is fair
MAIN CHORUS:
The master race
Nazis are a waste of space
Let’s put them in their place
They shouldn’t be part of the human race
CHORUS 2:
Alan doesn’t understand her
He thinks of her as the chocolate girl
He thinks she’ll melt under the covers
He’s worried that Martina and I could be lovers
CHORUS 3:
She looks like she could be in the master race
But she is a lovely woman with a pretty face
Alan defended Les who is an ugly fascist
By now, I’ve probably persuaded Martina to be a socialist
Martina at first said she was a Tory
But she is so nice, I thought that was just a story
She does not just play hard but impossible to get
She even threw some IrnBru at me making me very wet
CHORUS 3
Martina enjoys having fun
And I asked if she likes David Cameron
She said no, but she likes the Tories’ views on immigration
I don’t think she is so cruel but is carrying out infiltration
CHORUS 2
I’d like to take Martina to Auschwitz
I’ve been there before
Many bones of the gassed I saw
And I think Martina would take the better side in the Second World War
MAIN CHORUS
Martina’s blonde hair is dyed
I think she is really on my side
I was happy the day Rudolph Hess, the Nazi, died
Those who supported him could not turn the tide
The BNP have won some council seats
But after getting elected, they are a joke
It is possible that their leader Nick Griffin is a nice bloke
In 2007, they hoped to make a breakthrough
But they lost many of their existing seats and had a net gain of only two
MAIN CHORUS
Jews were used as scapegoats
The BNP now attack Muslims to get votes
Fascists’ main enemies are left-wingers
In socialist organisations and political singers
Against me, with his fists, a fascist took action
I think he’s a member of the National Revolutionary Faction
Those fascists infiltrate
They’re part of the surveillance state
They spread their messages of hate
We infiltrate too so it’s not too late
Some Jews think they’re the chosen people selected by God
But if any race was really chosen, it’d be by someone like General Zod
Jews who think they are a master race are Zionists
They are also enemies of socialists
Another master race
Zionists are a waste of space
Let’s put them in their place
They shouldn’t be part of the human race
Some of my Jewish ancestors were German
And some of their descendents surely would have been murdered by the Nazi vermin
MAIN CHORUS
I went to an anti-fascist demo in Oldham
The BNP and NF were quite bold then
They threatened Asian people in their homes
Young Asians defended their areas, worried about there being tombstones
Some of them joined us when that was obviously not a serious threat
Loads of white votes the BNP wanted to get
But in Oldham, they didn’t win a single seat
It was our activities which inflicted that crushing defeat
They had concentrated their efforts in that town
So Griffin came to the count – he must have felt quite down
But they won several seats in Burnley instead
Where they didn’t face such strong opposition from reds
At the Oldham demo, the police used divide-and-rule
Cordoning off the mainly white people on my side of the road
Several Asian youths had gathered on the other side
If some police officers argued they were neutral, they blatantly lied
I was the first person to try to break through the police line
I was arrested and faced a criminal record and a fine
But they arrested me under a section of the law where they have to warn you before arresting
I had to keep going back to the court in Oldham – for my patience, rather testing
They had not warned me, and didn’t pretend that they had done, so the case was eventually dropped
A policewoman had told me earlier that the police were infiltrated by the Working Party
Perhaps it was due to them that I got off scot free
MAIN CHORUS
I like Martina but love Priya
She must have endured a lot of fear
She is in a mental institution in the Belly of the Beast
Those places are much worse than in the UK to say the least
She compared it to the concentration camp at Auschwitz
